Diano Marina is situated on the Riviera of Flowers in Italy, where a mild climate ensures summer comes early and continues well into October.
The resort is a pretty seaside town with stylish, chic shops and pavement cafés with a relaxed atmosphere as well as a long promenade. To one end lies the harbour where boats ferry passengers on scenic cruises along the coast. To the other is the beach and quiet hotels, some with private beaches. Our hotel is situated at the top of the bay with its own beach and magnificent views of the coast.
The location is ideal for visiting some of the best and most famous resorts along the glorious Riviera of Flowers coast. We will visit Monaco & Monte Carlo, with a guided tour and time to explore at leisure; and Eze, a French, medieval village perched like an eagle’s nest on a narrow rocky peak overlooking the Mediterranean sea with spectacular views. In Italy we visit the beautiful resort of Alassio where you will find a picturesque promenade and quaint, narrow streets with delightful shops & cafés and Portofino one of the most photogenic fishing ports in the Mediterranean, to which we travel by boat. There is also an option to visit medieval Dolceacqua and San Remo, the capital town of the Italian Riviera of Flowers.

Itinerary - Day 1: Eurostar to Lille or Paris
Champagne check–in at St Pancras Champagne Bar. Afternoon departure from St Pancras by Eurostar to Lille or Paris. Short walk with your luggage or coach/taxi transfer to our overnight hotel. This evening you are free to explore the city and savour one of the many good restaurants in the centre.
Day 2: TGV to Nice
Depart the hotel after breakfast to join the mid-morning TGV to Nice. On arrival we meet our coach and drive to Diano Marina and check-in at the Hotel Arc en Ciel. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 3: Discovering Diano Marina & Discovering Alassio
Morning free in the resort, afternoon visit to Alassio, a delightful resort on the Ligurian coast with a pretty pedestrianised centre, stylish boutiques and cafés as well as a super beach and promenade. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 4: Monaco & Monte Carlo
An early start today as we will visit the tiny principality of Monaco & Monte Carlo, dominated by the Palace that overlooks the harbour. You will have a guided tour, then have free time to explore on your own. Take your passports if you wish to enter the Casino, even just for a look! We then drive the short distance to Eze, perched high above the Cote d’Azur where you can visit the old village and the perfumery of Fragonard. We return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 5: Free day
Free day to do as you please or join the optional day excursion to the old city of Dolceacqua with a wine tasting incorporating local food specialities at Isolabona and an afternoon visit to San Remo. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 6: Santa Margherita & Portofino
After breakfast we drive to Santa Margherita to take the boat to Portofino. We return late afternoon. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 7: Free day to relax
Free day in the resort. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 8: Home by TGV & Eurostar
After breakfast we check-out of the hotel and drive to Nice to take the TGV to Lille. We join Eurostar and expect to arrive in London early evening.

Hotel Arc en Ciel - 3 star
Situated in a residential area and within a few metres of the sea under the shade of Palm and Cluster Pines, this lovely hotel offers excellent accommodation. All bedrooms have a shower or bath, satellite TV, telephone and balcony. The dining room has stunning sea views and serves local Ligurian specialities and International cuisine. There is direct access to the sea and a private sun-terrace with sun beds. (The beach is man-made and access to the sea is across rocks).
